1. About Our Services

CareerDNALabs operates multiple career-focused platforms:

• CareerMeasure (careermeasure.com) – Scientific career assessments designed to help you understand career fit, current-role patterns, and career options aligned with your interests, motivations, and strengths
• CareerLore (careerlore.com) – Career story archive featuring real practitioner insights and career journeys

Important: Our assessments are for personal career exploration, fit analysis, and self-understanding. They are not employment tests, hiring tools, or psychological evaluations.

2. Eligibility and Account Creation

To use CareerDNALabs services, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate information when creating an account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You may create only one account per person. Creating multiple accounts may result in termination of service.

3. Using Your Assessment Results

Your assessment results from CareerMeasure belong to you. You are free to:

• Download and save your results
• Share your results with others at your discretion
• Use your results for personal career planning

You should not:

• Use our assessments as the sole basis for major life decisions
• Rely on results as professional psychological advice
• Use results to make hiring or employment decisions for others

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

CareerMeasure offers free and paid subscription tiers:

• Free: Access to basic career assessment features
• One-Year Access: Full access to all features, billed yearly
• Half-Decade Access: Five (5) years of access to all features, billed every five (5) years

CareerLore content is currently free to access.

All payments are processed securely through our payment partner. Current pricing is shown on our Pricing page and at checkout, and may change over time. Promotional or founding tiers may be available for a limited period.

5. No Refund Policy

All sales are final. CareerMeasure is a digital information product. Upon purchase, you receive immediate and complete access to all assessment data, career matches, and results.

Due to the instant-access nature of our digital product, we do not offer refunds. By purchasing, you acknowledge that:

• You receive full access to the product immediately upon payment
• The digital content cannot be "returned" once accessed
• You have reviewed the free tier features before purchasing

If you experience technical issues preventing access to your purchased content, please contact [email protected] and we will work to resolve the issue.

6. Cancellation and Account Deletion

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

• One-year subscriptions: Access continues until the end of your billing period
• Account deletion: Permanently removes your data within 30 days
• Data export: Download your assessment data before deletion

7. Intellectual Property

All content on CareerDNALabs platforms, including assessment questions, career blueprints, career stories, design, and functionality, is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our assessment content
• Reverse engineer our assessment algorithms
• Use our brands or logos without permission
• Create derivative works based on our assessments or content

8. Acceptable Use

When using CareerDNALabs services, you agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated tools to access our service (bots, scrapers)
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

9. Service Availability and Changes

We strive to keep our services available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue features with notice
• Perform maintenance that temporarily limits access
• Update our assessment methodology as science evolves

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

No Professional Advice: CareerDNALabs provides career exploration tools and information, not professional career counseling, psychological evaluation, or employment advice. Always consult qualified professionals for important decisions.

No Guarantees: We do not guarantee specific career outcomes, job placement, or success. Your career path depends on many factors beyond our assessments and content.

Service "As Is": CareerDNALabs services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerDNALabs and its founders shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or opportunities
• Decisions made based on assessment results or career content
• Service interruptions or data loss

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CareerDNALabs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
